About The Band

Meet the Sweetwater Road Band. The sensational acoustic band that blends powerful vocal harmonies, rock solid rhythm thru upright bass, and some of the sweetest lead licks ever heard on mandolin!
With hints of bluegrass, country, and rock and roll, the Sweetwater Road Band promises an evening of pure entertainment.

Mandolinist, composer, teacher, studio musician, Jason Bailey possesses a range of musicianship of a well-seasoned professional and is an essential and powerful asset to Birmingham-based favorites such as celtic-infused Shilleleagh Law, folk/rock Three Man Stone, bluegrass group The Bluegrass Cartel and the regional touring jazz/bluegrass/southern jam band Tonal Vision, and Sweetwater Road.andolinist, composer, teacher, studio musician, Jason Bailey possesses a range of musicianship of a well-seasoned professional and is an essential and powerful asset to Birmingham-based favorites such as celtic-infused Shilleleagh Law, folk/rock Three Man Stone, bluegrass group The Bluegrass Cartel and the regional touring jazz/bluegrass/southern jam band Tonal Vision, and Sweetwater Road.

When Kelli Johnson sings, people listen. She grabs your attention with a voice so clear and haunting, you are drawn in and held captive . She mesmerizes crowds with her heartfelt and emotional performance style, and leaves them wanting more. Her songwriting, so raw and honest, rivals that of veterans twice her age. She is the real deal.
She has toured the Southeast as a solo artist, and has established herself as a talent to take notice of.
She hosts her own TV show, Kelli's Acoustic Crossroads, which highlights up and coming original artist in East Alabama, and is associate producer , and frequent music guest, for the Dugger Mountain Music Hall Show, which is broadcast weekly into over 90,000,000 homes worldwide through the Legacy Network, The Walk TV, and soon to be broadcast on PBS and TNN!

Brandon Peeples is one of the most dynamic and solid bass players in the music business. Accomplished on upright and electric bass, Brandon has become a staple in the Southeastern music scene. From bluegrass to jazz, he covers a wide range of genres proficiently. He has supported such acts as Willie Nelson, John Fogarty, The Little River Band, Silverchair, Randall Bramlett, Jimmy Hall, Jeff Carlisi, Derek St. Holmes, and backed Taylor Hicks on his national tour. He is also endorsed by Thomastik-Infeld string co. and Euphonic Audio, Inc.

Frequently compared to Alison Krauss or Emmylou Harris, Michelle Cone captures audiences with her heartfelt and haunting vocals. With a writing ability that is reminiscent of a young Dolly Parton, Michelle captivates crowds with her original penned tunes, or her one-of-a-kind rendition of classic favorites. Michelle has been an integral part of the Birmingham Music Scene, and has performed with Tew Lane Road, and Sweetwater Road.
