About The Band
Frankie Staton is a multi-talented Lady with a genuine love for MUSIC. A versatile pianist, songwriter, and vocalist-she performs everything from Country to Gospel to R&B, Broadway and light Jazz.
Her first record, "Every Now & Then," was written to the memory of fourteen month old Amanda Thompson. Performed with a symphony of Nashville's finest musicians, she raised over $5,000 for Vanderbilt Hospital to be given to children needing liver transplants. Her second record, "Leading Lady," is an original song that was released on an album on Polygram Records-entitled Trade Secrets. Her third and first self-produced project is an all original Christmas album. It contains a mix of original contemporary Christian Christmas songs, a pop love ballad, and a bluesy tune. Frankie is comfortable whether on the Grand Piano alone, fronting a R&B band or singing swing-jazz tunes with a trio.
She has appeared in many hotels and restaurants in Nashville, including Marriott, Park Suite, Mere' Bulles, Merchants, Sailmaker, Fifth Quarter, The Brass Rail, Richland Country Club, and Maryland Farms Country Club.
She has also appeared at the Ritz Carlton, Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia, The Pithzer Hotel, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Patrick's, Dallas, Texas, The Copper Kettle, Aspen, Colorado, The Literature and Book Show, and The Governor's Mansion's Week of the Young Child, 1992.
She performs at the Bluebird Cafe, often to standing ovations.
She performed with confidence at The Apollo in New York City. (Often dubbed the most difficult stage in America.)
Frankie is a regular on the "Early Morning Show", (a ten year veteran). She has appeared on The Nashville Gospel Show, Good News Breaks, The Bobby Jones Gospel Show. Nashville Now, Be a Star, American Magazine, and many others.
Frankie is interested in television, movies, and commercials, as an actress, singer, and comedian. She is often found at Nashville's premier jazz club, Mere' Bulles or the historic newly renovated, renown Hermitage Hotel. She is a regular at the Silver Stirrup, the Piano Bar in The Chute Complex. Catch her whenever possible!!
